From the Stillness

FIELDING PROJECT
2018 - 2019

This was our first sonic work as Live Particle. It was included in a collaborative science project funded by an ARC Linkage Grant entitled Designing Green Spaces for Biodiversity and Human Well-Being. The project was conducted by scientist Sarah Bekessy and her team at Sustainability and Urban Planning RMIT University.

From The Stillness was part of Fielding - a sound art research collaboration between Catherine Clover & Jordan Lacey that formed the creative sonic component of Bekessy's research. Fielding concerns the role of sound in the greening of urban spaces and how this can impact the well-being of people, animals and plants in the urban environment. It was a sonic installation in the Sunken Courtyard in RMIT University’s city campus.
